A long time, long distance relationship between 3 band mates who live all over the county. Named after a homemade tiki bar in Manchester where we spent most of our time making music. It's called 'ricos', it felt like our own world to make whatever music we felt like. Hence the name. Now the proper bit...​

English Trio Isla Rico rapidly emerged onto the scene as a fresh force in the indie music scene. A blend of pop storytelling, atmospheric synths, and rock enthusiast guitars created a unique sound that has captured the attention of their loyal fan base, selling out shows across the UK.

Formed by Cal Richards (vocals, guitar) and Jasper Whitehead (lead guitar, keys) after meeting with a shared mission of starting a band. Harvey Rafferty (guitar, vocals) joining a little later on.

Following their debut EP, Eternal Optimist, the band amassed over 100,000 streams, helping them land live shows sharing the stage with the likes of The Grogans and performing at festivals including Y Not Festival, The Great Escape, and Years End.
Incorporating influences from their childhood, the band's sound continues to progress with recent single ‘Wavelength’ being described as ‘the best of new indie brit pop’ by BBC Radio DJ Chris Hawkins.

The alt rockers continue to cement their one to watch status, garnering placements across Spotify playlists and media attention from a number of tastemakers, including Clash & Earmilk.
